Grand Union Canal public artwork
This project was made with local school children and funded by Groundwork London and British Waterways. It was an initiative to decorate the underpass areas along the Grand Union Canal in London. The ‘barge art’ theme was embraced with gusto by the young participants who then visited the studio to help make the mosaic panels.
Materials: Vitreous glass mosaic tiles, ceramic tiles, mirror, pebbles and shells.
Dimensions: Various sizes ranging from 1.2 m. diameter to 3 m. high.
Practical Information: Made on panels and then attached to the wall.
Price: Commissions accepted for similar work. Fee based on client participation, size, complexity of design and location.
