Bespoke kitchen splashback feature

Combining function with a love of maps I made this statement piece for my clients’ new kitchen. The brief was to create an abstract interpretation of ordinance survey maps of the Sussex region. The hand-cut glass and ceramic tiles were laid in different styles to give both clarity and interest to the design.

Materials: Italian vitreous glass tiles interspersed with mirror, beads and shells.
Dimensions:  7m x 30cm.
Practical Information:  Following design liaison with the client the mosaic panel was created in the artists studio and then installed on site. All the tiles, grouts and adhesives are water resistant and durable.

Price: Commissions accepted for similar work. Fee available on request.
