3D Sculpture Symposium 2023
I recently participated in a 3D mosaic symposium at the Archeological Museum in Sousse, Tunisia. Sharing a week with twelve other international mosaic artists we each produced an experimental sculpture with the limited resources available.
My piece ‘Sousse Vessel’ began with a discarded broken ceramic planter. Drawing on my new making ideas I rebuilt and embellished with ceramic, marble and gold.
Inspired by a beautifully simple depiction of a roman vessel on a floor mosaic in the museum.
Details of both the event and the making process can be found on the INSTA feed.
